The inaugural Diversity for Better Tomorrow Awards, organized by Womany and co-hosted by LinkedIn and Deloitte & Touche, announced its winners on the 27th. A total of 28 companies were awarded either corporate awards or special awards. Among them, 20 were foreign companies. Taiwan Fu Hsing proudly received the Silver Award in the "Local Business Category" for its corporate influence. Notably, it stood as one of the few local businesses and the sole representative of the manufacturing sector.

For 65 years, Taiwan Fu Hsing has been dedicated to fostering a diverse, equal, and inclusive workplace, striving to create a sense of belonging for every employee. Its commitment has earned it the honor of "Happy Enterprise of Kaohsiung City” many times. Apart from consistently enforcing internal anti-discrimination and sexual harassment policies, Fu Hsing extends benefits beyond legal obligations, including flexible working hours and subsidies for childcare from ages 3 to 12. Moreover, the company organizes employee events like charitable “Healthy Walks" and family music concerts, with inclusive participation from disabled groups to enhance mutual understanding and respect.

Taiwan Fu Hsing has around 2,700 employees worldwide, with more than 20% being expatriates. At its Gangshan headquarters, for example, the age range of employees is diverse, with an equal gender distribution, and women are represented at all levels of management, with nearly half of the supervisors being female. In recent years, Taiwan Fu Hsing has hired more than twice the number of disabled individuals mandated by regulations, indicating that its workforce is remarkably diverse and inclusive.

LIN Yi-cheng, the Cultural Director of Taiwan Fu Hsing, mentioned during an interview with Womany that diversity and inclusivity are not just corporate commitments but also essential for achieving sustainability. As the leader in Taiwan's lock industry, Taiwan Fu Hsing understands that a diverse team background is instrumental in creating products that closely cater to customer needs. Furthermore, by valuing the distinctiveness of every team member, the company encourages them to give full play to their potential.

DEI is now the advocated new corporate culture worldwide. According to a survey by Womany, a remarkable 96% of respondents emphasized that compensation packages are no longer the exclusive attraction for talent. Instead, a company's commitment to DEI is the decisive factor in its decision to join. Furthermore, companies that embrace DEI demonstrate better profitability and team collaboration.

In the future, Taiwan Fu Hsing will continue to embrace diversity, creating a more welcoming and open work environment where talents of all kinds can unleash their creativity, working together to deliver even better product experiences for consumers.
