To fulfill its corporate social responsibility and respond to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of "Sustainable Cities and Towns", Taiwan Fu Hsing Industry, with its expertise in door control technology, launched the "GoodLock Charitable Campus Lock Replacement Project" by establishing a key management system for public schools of all levels up to senior high school in Kaohsiung City for free and providing the renowned FAULTLESS locks for replacement and maintenance. This year's program is open from now until 31 March, and schools in need are welcome to apply.

According to a survey conducted by the Ministry of Education, the number of notifications of school safety maintenance incidents exceeds 6,500 per year, affecting more than 10,000 schoolchildren. A keen observation reveals that among numerous school safety concerns, "door locks" often go unnoticed as a significant security vulnerability. The reason lies in the fact that in the event of a fire or violent intrusion, the unobstructed condition of escape routes plays a crucial role. Neglecting the management and maintenance of these routes during regular times may lead to a significant loss of rescue time.

Unfortunately, with limited personnel, material, and financial resources, many schools are only able to maintain them in an overly frugal manner. In addition, the traditional "one lock, one key" design creates burdens for management. Given this, Taiwan Fu Hsing has launched the GoodLock philanthropic lock replacement program with its own Master Key System technology, in the hope of solving the problem of managing a large number of keys for schools, and thus improving campus security.

As of the end of 2022, this program has been implemented in nine schools and one disadvantaged institution in Gangshan, Maituo, and Ziguan, establishing a convenient and user-friendly Master Key System and replacing and maintaining more than 1,250 sets of door locks, benefiting nearly 4,900 students and teachers. This year, the Foundation will continue to make good use of corporate resources and exert greater social influence to bring resources to more schools in need.
