Organized by Taiwan Fu Hsing Culture & Education Foundation, the "Gangshan Bazaar by the Street" charity market will make a lively appearance on May 13th and 14th at the Xinxin Market in Gangshan, right next to Area A of Dianbao Creek Detention Pond.

With an unwavering focus on sustainable urban and rural development, Taiwan Fu Hsing Culture & Education Foundation endeavors to shape a brighter future through local initiatives, cultivating a more enriching way of life. Therefore, in 2021, a collaborative effort between the government, industry, and academia led to the "Open Gangshan's Memory Boxes" project. Through the artistic creations of residents, this initiative showcases the diverse facets of Gangshan. It was also awarded the "PwC Sustainability Award". In late 2022, Taiwan Fu Hsing, representing a local enterprise, was invited by the Kaohsiung Museum of History to join the "Gangshan Special Exhibition". Through this exhibition, the public had the opportunity to learn about the establishment of the lock industry in Gangshan and how businesses have contributed to the growth and prosperity of the area.

In 2023, Taiwan Fu Hsing carries forward the essence of "Open Gangshan's Memory Boxes" and finds inspiration in the vibrant market culture of Gangshan's century-old bamboo basket festival. Coinciding with the upcoming first festival of the year (on Matsu's birthday, March 23rd, based on the lunar calendar), a fresh and innovative "Bazaar by the Street" will be curated. This initiative aims to maintain the historical charm while incorporating a modern aesthetic, creating a link between diverse cultures and the artistic lifestyle, and drawing a wide range of visitors.

The main visual design cleverly incorporates local specialties and traditional bamboo baskets, while the on-site experience will revolve around the concept of a "Street Bazaar". With the participation of craftsmanship lifestyle brands from all over Taiwan, a "Gathering Street" will be created, reimagining the early Taiwanese market scene with a modern aesthetic. This aims to offer an authentic experience of the dwindling market culture and allow visitors to discover the profound cultural heritage of Gangshan.
