As the era of artificial intelligence (AI) unfolds, Taiwan Fu Hsing Industrial Co., Ltd., a global leader in door lock and metal processing, has begun integrating AI technology to optimize key manufacturing parameters. This initiative enhances production quality, consistency, and efficiency—marking a major step toward smart manufacturing and reinforcing the company’s competitiveness in the global industrial supply chain.

The introduction of AI technology focuses on monitoring and adjusting critical process parameters. By analyzing production data and identifying key influencing factors, Taiwan Fu Hsing has successfully reduced defect rates and improved the consistency of powder coating quality.

According to CommonWealth Magazine’s 2025 Top 2000 Enterprises Survey, “Those who master AI will master the future.” The report emphasizes that AI has become the driving force behind sustained leadership in the manufacturing industry. For traditional manufacturers, embracing digital transformation through AI can effectively overcome challenges in labor and cost, paving the way for the next wave of growth.

In collaboration with the startup Jelun Intelligence, Taiwan Fu Hsing introduced an AI-driven system to optimize parameters for its door lock powder coating process. The system analyzes real-time production data to generate optimal process strategies, which are then implemented on-site. This integration not only enhances coating quality stability and reduces material waste but also digitalizes and modularizes decision-making—achieving greater cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.

Mr. Lin Shih-Huang, Deputy General Manager of Taiwan Fu Hsing, emphasized that the purpose of adopting AI is not to replace human workers, but to empower them. “AI helps our teams quickly adjust production processes when faced with complex parameters,” Lin noted. “It allows us to focus more on product quality and performance outcomes.”

The successful implementation of AI technology has significantly improved manufacturing performance, once again demonstrating the strength and innovation potential of Taiwan’s manufacturing industry.
