In line with its commitment to corporate social responsibility and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the goal of “Sustainable Cities and Communities,” Taiwan Fu Hsing Industrial Co., Ltd. implemented its “Master Key System” at the dormitories of National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (Jiangong Campus) in 2025. This initiative aims to upgrade the campus’s door lock facilities and strengthen residential safety for students and staff.

As a long-time innovator in door control technology, Taiwan Fu Hsing launched the “GoodLock for Better Living” Campus Public Service Program, offering free professional lock replacement and maintenance for schools across the Kaohsiung area. Through this initiative, the company installs its self-developed Master Key System, which resolves the challenges of traditional locks—such as complex key management and multiple key confusion.
The system’s hierarchical design enables administrators to manage access using a single master key and corresponding sub-keys, simplifying key management, improving emergency response efficiency, and providing a stronger safeguard for campus safety.

“Many schools, constrained by limited budgets and manpower, often overlook door lock management,” said Taiwan Fu Hsing. “However, during emergencies such as fires or security threats, the ability to unlock doors quickly can directly impact the safety and evacuation of teachers and students.”

Since its launch in 2021, the GoodLock for Better Living program has installed the Master Key System in 26 schools and social welfare institutions across Kaohsiung, replacing and maintaining over 2,791 locks and benefiting more than 18,000 people.

Founded 68 years ago, Taiwan Fu Hsing Industrial is a global leader in door control systems. Beyond its industrial achievements, the company—through the Taiwan Fu Hsing Cultural and Educational Foundation—continues to advance public welfare initiatives, leveraging corporate strength to foster community well-being and shared prosperity.
The collaboration with NKUST marks another milestone in the company’s mission to build safer and smarter learning environments through cross-sector partnerships between business and education.
